OBJECT
The three greatest teachers available are Silence, Nature and Art. I didn't like landscapes when I started painting in 1992, as I found them incredibly boring and unappealing. Somehow, somewhere in there, I took on the challenge of making them appealing, and it only took 20 years for nature to become my go-to.

This is four years of saving every scrap of paint in my studio. I took a week and slowly poured medium into the container until it was full, then put the lid on it and put it on the shelf. Completely unplanned, the day I took it off and unbound it, was coincidentally one year to the day that I filled it. Magic.

- Title: Skateboard Avenger
- Size: Skateboard Size
- Medium: Wood, Wheels, Paint
- Year: 2011
- This was for a skateboard show with about 50 artists. Everyone else was painting real skateboards, so I made one like I was a kid. I didn't do it to be cool. The producer was a con artist that routinely provided materials so he/she could keep all the unsold work. I circumvented the rouse.
SCULPTURE
While apprenticing with Master Sculptor Ed Breathitt. I made 18 sculptures while my wife was pregnant in 1998. Two were bronzed. The rest never made it out of clay and were destroyed in move. About 15 years later I would do a few more in fired clays while hanging with potter Chris Cooley.

THE BARBIE EXPERIMENTS
I really wanted to make a painting called "Pink On Barbie Party". I don't know why or what it would be... I just liked the name. After a year of failing to collect Barbies on social media, out of the blue, I recieved 36 in 3 days from 3 people. The Pink on Barbie Party -- I made as literal as possible -- then did a whole bunch more.
